I am a certified and fully accredited teacher in HATHA YOGA 200hr TTC (Yoga Alliance), a qualified practitioner in Complementary Therapies (Dipcth, Gateway certified), ITEC Sports and Remedial Massage (SNT) and have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology.
More Recently I have become certified with TeenYoga TTC, a more specialised training to work with teenagers and children, and also with KiddingAroundYoga KAY, which is valid for use in schools and various settings. Additionally, I have completed the YogaCampus "Yoga for Mental Health: Depression and Anxiety".
I have a healthcare background in various clinical settings ranging from hospitals, GP clinics, mental health clinics, children's nurseries, care homes and holistic centres. Throughout my career history I've assisted individuals in gaining control over what we know as "stress", something we all experience to some degree, varying in intensity. During my career in the healthcare sector, I began to witness and recognise the significance of holistic healthcare. I am now committed to using these practices as a way of improving the quality of life of individuals who could greatly benefit.
It seems that "stress" simply comes hand in hand with "life". I believe that we can use various techniques and therapeutic "tools" to ensure that we stay in conrtol of our stress, and look after our well-being. .
My ultimate goal is to promote optimum mental and physical health and well-being for my clients. I like to be creative and playful with my yoga classes, and normally bring music to my sessions, as I believe this enhances the steadiness of practice.
I am extremely passionate and dedicated to what I do. I truly believe that using ancient arts such as massage, reflexology, reiki and yoga can bring balance to our lives. I myself have experienced the true benefits of complementary and yoga therapies, and hope to share this with others.
